Enjoy a bird's eye view of the Gold Coast Hinterland on this breathtaking hot air balloon flight. Professional guides will collect guests from their local accomodation in an air-conditioned coach before first light and be transferred to the launch site just in time to witness a magical sunrise from the hot air balloon. Climb aboard to experience the spectacular colours of the sunrise over the picturesque landscape before descending back down to earth for a champagne breakfast. You'll take a short drive to O'Reillys Canungra Valley Vineyard where you will be treated to a tasty spread of eggs, bacon, pastries, cereals, fresh juices and fruit, paired with a glass of celebratory bubbles!
Session Length
- The hot air balloon flight is 40-60 minutes in duration, depending on the winds
- Pick up time is 3:50-4:30am (time varies seasonally and with your location) and concludes at 9:45-10:30am
- Available on the weekend only
Restrictions
The hot air balloon flight is 40-60 minutes in duration, depending on the winds of the day. This experience is available on the weekend only.
Guidelines
- Pick up is available from accommodation in Surfers Paradise, Broadbeach, Main Beach or meet at Nerang or Canungra
- Children 3 and above are permitted to fly and need to buy a ticket.
- Children must be a minimum of three years old to travel on the balloon flight and children up to the age of 12 years old must be accompanied by a responsible adult on the balloon flight
- Children aged 13-17 years old can travel on the balloon flight by themselves, but must be accompanied by a responsible adult for the rest of the tour including bus transfers
- Passengers flying with the operator must be able to climb INTO the basket unaided. The side of the basket is approximately 1.2 metres high with two footholds for passengers to use like a ladder when climbing into the basket
- The operator will not carry passengers who have participated in a scuba dive the night before their balloon flight
- The operator will not carry pregnant passengers
- Passengers with medical conditions should check their suitability to fly prior to booking
- The operator recommends that disabled persons seek medical advice before participating
- At no time will a passenger be allowed to fly if their judgement is impaired by alcohol, drugs, or prescription medicine
Cancellation
- Cancellations require more than 24 hours notice for FIT bookings (10 pax or less)
- Groups (11 pax or more) require 72 hours notice for cancellation
- 100% refunds given if cancellation received and acknowledged in those times frame
- Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience
Weather
In the case of windy, wet or foggy weather the flight may be cancelled at the pilot's discretion. Let the provider know if you require weather information prior to the balloon ride.
Dress Code
Casual comfortable clothing and flat enclosed shoes.
